Our training methods are tailored to the individual dog and move at a pace that neither over taxes the dog nor becomes boring for the dog or the trainer. We recommend and offer a “puppy training program” that will introduce your pup to basic commands, to the field, to gunfire, and to birds. Our overall approach to training is based on the Silent Command System of Delmar Smith and the Perfect System of Perfection Kennels with adaptations for the individual dog. We accomplish a nice hunting companion using soft touch teaching methods utilizing the check cord, time, and patience as our most valuable training tools.
For competition minded owners we offer additional training to include steady to wing, shot and fall and force retrieve training for walking field trial venues.
